Coach Drop Off Procedure

Please note the following:

• MusicFest is a festival filled with musicians who depend on their breathing. The idling of motors longer than five minutes when stopped will not be permitted.
• Coaches are advised to follow the instructions of MusicFest security and traffic staff at all times. Failure to do so may result in penalties marked against the school/ensemble.
• Coaches are to abide by all local by-laws pertaining to parking on public roadways. MusicFest will not be responsible for any fines or charges as a result of by-law infractions.

STAGE A – LORD ELGIN HOTEL, 100 ELGIN ST

COACHES drop off at the front of the hotel on Elgin Street. Due to the limited space in this area loading and unloading times must be kept to a minimum and there shall be no waiting

PARTICIPANTS enter at the front lobby entrance of the Lord Elgin Hotel
Performer Check in is located just off the main hotel lobby (follow the signs)

PUBLIC entrance for audience via front hotel lobby

FRIDAY MAY 18 ONLY: Stage A jazz ensembles and jazz combos will be adjudicated at the National Arts Centre followed by their clinic in the MacDonald Room at the Lord Elgin Hotel.

STAGE B – NATIONAL ARTS CENTRE, 53 ELGIN ST (BETWEEN QUEEN & SLATER)

SCHOOL BUS may use ramp leading from Elgin at Queen Streets (Frieman Lane) to the Box Office main lobby entrance of the National Arts Centre. COACHES cannot pass through the ramp due to height restrictions.

COACHES drop off observe Queen Elizabeth route under Laurier Street. Alternative drop off and pickup locations are located at the intersection of Queen and Metcalfe. If traffic allows, Elgin Street could be used as a final alternate, paying attention to traffic flow and local regulations.

PARTICIPANTS enter at main Lobby entrance
Performer Check in for concert bands/orchestras will be in front of the Studio Theatre, on the side of the building nearest the canal.
Registration will be located off the Southam Theatre Lobby, same level, on the side of the building nearest to Elgin Street
There will be no waiting or parking at this location for any vehicles

STAGE C – DOMINION CHALMERS UNITED CHURCH, 355 COOPER ST

COACHES drop off at O’Connor Street.
Coach parking available for evenings only

PARTICIPANTS enter off the main entrances located on O’Connor Street
